My review :

Love, in Spanish is the second installment of Love, in English, told this time from my favorite spanish character, Mateo Casalles.
I had to warn you; this story is nothing like other love stories, throughout all the story, we have this melancholic, poetic mood that will capture your heart.

We follow Vera and Mateo’s journey trying to have their HEA. We can sense from the start that the path will be full of pitfalls. Even if their love is so strong, it’s like everything is against them.
Through Mateo’s eyes, we can see how deeply in love with his estrella. From the moment they met, he was instantly drawn to her, and it’s like the sky had suddenly gone clear, showing all the stars in there; Vera being the brightest of all.
Mateo was always trying to doing what best for the interest of his family; putting his daughter first, being a good husband. Even if his choices made him unhappy, he couldn’t stand to be away from his child.
This man is so kind, generous, completely, insanely in love. Seing all of him; with his qualities and flaws makes him so touching. His sensitiveness completely melt my heart, because when Mateo falls in love, he falls hard. He gives all of him, and what can i say about the sexual chemistry? Mind-blowing!!!He’s trying to learn from his mistakes, each time when his hopes for a better future with Vera are up, everything around him like paparazzis, family, friends crushed him down. Insecurities gets in the way. But Mateo is a believer and never underestimate their love. His biggest fear? That Vera would be taken away from him.

« You are my lover, my friend, my everything. But being here right now is dependent on them. I’m not letting them take that away from me. »

Vera was always one of favorite female character. She seemed tough in the outside but she’s scared as hell to be away from him. I love Vera because she never plays games, shows her true colors. We can see that sometimes their difference of age can put a gap between them. Physically they seemed so different : she looks like a pin up with tattoos, she’s very carefree; he’s experienced a lot for his age and having a daughter, trying to be not noticed by the press and for her it was very difficult. She’s always supporting his choices and stand for him when she has to. Finding Mateo in her path of discovery, finding her place in this world was something she isn’t expected. As Mateo, she falls in love very hard and the reminding of their separation after what happened with his ex-wife was a very hard time for both of them. Going back to a place where Mateo isn’t is the slowing death to her. All in her is shinning and when Mateo talked about her; we can see all his love, devotion, need for the woman, his soulmate.

“Our love is permanent and she is stardust in my hands.”

This story was so poignant, astonishing, addictive. So get ready for a roller coaster of emotions, which can ripped you heart out. Sometimes it’s like your heart was crushing down but it worth it for me. Love is never easy and this story tells us how it can be more than that when you give a try and fight for the one you love. Because when your find the true love of your life, you have to do everything in your power to make it right, even if you have many hardships to overcome. That’s real life, that’s all.
