I Want It That Way (2B Trilogy #1) - Ann Aguirre

Nadia Conrad has big dreams, and she's determined to make them come true—for her parents' sake as well as her own. But between maintaining her college scholarship and working at the local day care to support herself, she barely has time to think, let alone date. Then she moves into a new apartment and meets the taciturn yet irresistible guy in 1B….

Daniel Tyler has grown up too fast. Becoming a single dad at twenty turned his life upside down—and brought him heartache he can't risk again. Now, as he raises his four-year-old son while balancing a full-time construction management job and night classes, a social life is out of the question. The last thing he wants is for four noisy students to move into the apartment upstairs. But one night, Nadia's and Ty's paths cross, and soon they can't stay away from each other.

The timing is all wrong—but love happens when it happens. And you can't know what you truly need until you stand to lose it.

My review :

I was very intrigued by the title of this book! Since i saw i it,i've already thought of BSB's famous song and then i saw the others titles and i knew it wasn't a coincidence!

So i decided to read it, i want it that way.
The story kind of surprise me, a young man, Ty, a father of a 4 years old and a young girl, Nadia, student working with kids at the day care center.
I was totally get in the story. I love how the story was settled: After, During, After the after and The ever after.
All the story is told from Nadia's POV.
We saw the development of their relationship: from attraction to avoidance, to love to break up.

Ty is fighting back his feelings for Nadia since the first time : avoiding relationships due to his situation. Being a young father is not easy and he has to struggle between his work, raising his child and night classes. He doesn't have time to be emotionally involved with someone.
Until Nadia comes into his life breaking all his rules. He let her in his life but not totally. He doesn't want his son to be hurt if things goes wrong.

Nadia was attracted to him from the beginning and i love her interactions with her roomates, with kids but especially with Sam (Ty's son). She is an endearing character and she tries to be honest with him. She accepts their no-relationships rules but the more she spend time with Ty , the more and easily fall in love with him. The lines are kind of blurred.
I like how she fight for their love and showing him how she will always be there for him and his son. Sam is such a cute kid and i want to hug him each times, he makes my heart swoon!

The chemistry between them was amazing, not only sexually (Ty is hot and sometimes totally melt my butter, even blushing, ;-)). They were attracted like magnets, feeling each other presence everywhere.

This was a beautiful story reminding us that love can not be planned, calculated and that's how the magic works! Love is not easy and you have to fight for it. Sometimes is hard when you heart is broken to open up to someone else, mainly if you are knocked up by all the feelings for a person that you've just met.
Can't wait for the two others books (By the way, great choice of titles, i love all these songs from BSB)
