My review :

Heart Recaptured is book two of the Hades Hangmen series.
This one is the story of Ky and Delilah, after Mae's rescue.

This book was giving so much emotions, about this woman, Delilah, ripped from the Cult where she used to live as recluse, banned with her sisters, The Cursed, and going to a different world, where she could see sin everywhere. The cult where she came from brainwashed her so well that the couldn’t understand that what she went through was wrong and everything they taught them was lies, a totally rewriting of The Bible, to satisfy some sick, twisted cult about a «God », using women like dirt, remained as their disposal. She was so innocent, totally a « virgin » when it came to this new world, unable to understand why they acted this way, with such violence, profusion of sex.
Ky is the VP of the Hades Hangmen and best friend of Styx. He loved his life the way it was : freedom, lots of booze, plenty of women, a life without attachment, until he met Delilah’s gaze. He was sold since this moment an couldn’t get her out his head, like an addict, his body was craving for her. Ky was doing everything not to be around her, unlike Flame who was watching them like a watchdog, especially Maddie (but that’s another story).

But when Styx asked him to let her see the world, to show the real life, outdoors, he became smitten, totally alpha on her, claiming her his. Too much damaged, Delilah had difficulties to adjust to this new life, completely unaware of the fucked up of the situation and how they messed with her head. She felt lost without the Cult to show her the way.
When he started to make progress, she returned to her old patterns, being that it was very hard for her to understand people and how they could act like that.
Even through the ugliness of her life, she found in Ky her home, someone she could fall in love, but again, one step forward, ten steps back, all of this was so proving, sometimes Ky had to be strong for both of them, because she had so much issues, an absence of self esteem.
But their love is epic, getting over difficulties, being one and whole together. The way they love each other was magnificent, and Ky’s alpha, caveman attitude melt my heart, damn he was very intense!

They both endured so harsh, tough times, that i wasn’t feeling well reading all the misery, especially when it came to Delilah. It was like she was living a life through hell all over again.
This story was very challenging, make you feel the story, the writing was so poignant, proving, stunning and i was hooked by this book. Trust this one wasn’t an easy read to me but the author succeed to capture you attention, as you couldn’t put it down and praying for Delilah to find her happy ending, after experiencing so much.

This story was just beautifully, romantically, dark. Tillie Cole did it again, made me experienced so much Delilah and Ky’s story. I just loved it!!
