Last Call (Cocktail #4.5) by Alice Clayton

From NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton, known for her “deliciously addictive” (The Book Vixen) novels, this Cocktail series novella reunites readers with Caroline and Simon from the wildly successful Wallbanger.

Simon and Caroline are back for another round of baking, banging, and big life changes. Settling in, but never settling down, Caroline has finally struck a balance between the professional and the personal. As one of the top interior designers in San Francisco, she travels all over Northern California between nook time with Simon.

Perpetual globetrotter Simon has cut his frequent flyer miles in half over the last year, preferring to balance his professional and personal life, as well.

The next step in their lives seems preordained—toasts, veils, and the aisle of rose petals. But when an accident on a photo shoot in Southeast Asia brings Caroline the most terrifying phone call she could ever imagine, she has to ask whether “till death do us part” is a more realistic prospect than faces most couples.

It’s been a grand adventure, and Caroline and Simon wouldn’t go out without the best surprise ending ever. One part sexy, one part laughter, a dash of exotic locales, and one pink nightie, mixed with passion, and you’ve got Last Call. Served with a side of Clive.

My review :

Last call is the last book of the Cocktail series. When i saw that months ago, i was kind of sad. Alice Clayton had build such amazing stories around Pink Nightie Girl and Wallbanger.

In this one, let's get a ride on the journey of Caroline and Simon as they found their HEA, in their terms...or not!
Once again, we've got an mix of an delicious cocktail, mixed with a bunch of crazy friends, family, a hot, saucy and spicy Simon, a naughty, sweet, dirty Caroline, a frigging awesome Clive, and don't forget a lot of baking and banging!
The sparkle is still there and Alice writes about them in such a great way, with punch lines that gets you every time.

They saw all their friends settle down, between marriage, babies, and Caroline felt a little bit pressured. Did they have to do it? Of course, but when they're ready!
And our sweet Caroline loves ruminating, and going to some places very far away in her mind! I love how she thinks, she is so hilarious and endearing! She's witty, great friend, caring about people, and the best: she's all fun, she's always here for Simon. She is insanely in love with her Wallbanger.

And Simon...oh my sweet Wallbanger...I just love you!!! This handsome one, with his seductive, sexy grin, dirty talk, sweet and spicy at the same time, was making me swoon and blushing so many times!! He's growing up and all that i say that when he's struggling and ruminating, he was incredibly sexy. He wanted to have their HEA of their own, and wow when he's decided, let's just say that he wasn't a man only of actions but also words, which went straight to the heart!

This book had one of the perfect ending ever, with all the fabulous encounters, friends, gathered around them, like a family reunion, Vivian, Clark, Chloe, Lucas (you are a tricky woman Alice!!!), Jillian, Benjamin,...and the icing on the cake, my favorite cat: Clive, always the last parts, best words ever! I really enjoyed all this series, written in a smart, hilarious, sexy way and yes Alice, Jensen Ackles will be a perfect Wallbanger! But what about Caroline? So Thanks for this frigging, awesome series!!!
